Steve Crawford I have no Favorite Track. I stumbled across The Great Wall through a Youtube Vid. of David Elitch. The Vid was a feature of him playing verge. Could faintly hear the rest of the music and had to seek out this band. I did and am glad I did. \m/
Oh, Zen

Oh, Zen The vocals are nice and swooning and yet the whole album has so much kick to it. It also feels very original, so it's a breath of fresh air in a room that's far too stagnant. Favorite track: Soothsayer.

I felt your hand on my shoulder, but when I turned you were gone. The admonition of all to come. I turned a slim possibility into a tidal wave. Been trying to reach that horizon line for days. The clouds above. Sunken mountains below. This lone survivor drifts along. PLEASE COME. NEED SHELTER FROM THE SUN.

Soothsayer 04:47
You can never know what is meant to be. Only what binds your hands and feet. Render service in such uncertainty, because it's our doubts that set us free. May I look into your future? Let me show to you your life. What you need is some perspective; to see through the lens of all mankind. I'm invested in what's been part of me. Never what I cannot foresee. If the spells I cast put the mind at ease, then in your trust I shall believe. May I look into your future. Let me show to you your life. What you need is some perspective; to see through the lens of all mankind. Make of what you will. Deceive. Take what you want from me, I plead. Do our truths amount to power if not distinguished from our lies? Maybe someday we'll be different. The rate for an hour is ninety-nine.

The Rubicon lies behind us. Glory be our wake. All I know is the damage done and the forces we create, with these the final steps we take. There's something wrong with the way the wind blows. Philosophies crumble around us. Nothing if not remade. We've recited vows here before the gods, rendered null by those we break. Vows the gods themselves won't take. There's something wrong with the way the wind blows. Vicissitudes in the song it sings. What goes up must come down. There's something wrong with the way the Earth turns. Vicissitudes that concern our kings. The tides of history pull us forward. A Western fall and an Arab Spring.

Our indecision is a virtue when prayers go unreceived. Their words don't move to action. That voice… it's not a part of me. The imitation of a life; inanimate objects hunting for what they left behind. Illuminated in the night; the monolith we emerged from. That which we dare to find. You've taken an easy position, so proud of what you've won. And all of the threats that were made, just some harmless fun. Reiterating what's been said, I ought to be on my way to reaching the essence of. Illuminated, what was meant; velocity terminates when within the presence of. You've made this an easy decision with the barrel of a gun, but never considered that you'd spill the other's blood. You planted all the seeds; possess the greenest thumb. Well, maybe tomorrow forgive what today was done. Our indecision is a virtue when prayers go unreceived. Their words don't move to action. That voice… it's not a part of me. Your guilt is a willful admission; the eyes that oversaw. If I didn't know any better I'd swear by law. You taught me how to read what's hidden down below; to draw from the well of the void what should not be known.
